“I started Lavela after experiencing four pregnancy losses in four years. After my first loss, I spent countless nights searching for answers to the questions that kept me awake: Why did this happen? What if it happens again? Will I ever feel like myself? What I found instead was scattered information, empty reassurance, and very little specialized support for the emotional reality of reproductive loss.
I learned quickly that pregnancy loss is often treated as a brief medical event, when the grief can reach into your identity, your relationships, and how you imagine the future. I was offered statistics and sympathy, but rarely support that met the depth of what I was experiencing. As I began talking to other women, I realized how many of us were searching for the same thing.
